work
Three projects which give a little insight into my work.
'Biophilia' 'Biophilia: the theory that all humans have an innate ability to connect with nature' Taking the idea of health and wellbeing for interior textile design further, I have developed a well researched project for my final year of University. Focusing my dissertation and final collection on the theory of Biophilia, I am in the process of creating a body of work which I visualise for hospices, hospitals, wellbeing centres as well as the home. 'Painting to overcome chaos' This project was produced just before my final year at University. I wrote my own brief and designed a collection of fabrics and wallpapers for interiors. The project is all about health, wellbeing, mental health and illness. I wanted to do a project that allows me to think about how I can apply my skills to other areas of design. I chose to focus on interiors for hospitals, palliative care units and spa retreats. The project has a very current and responsible aim, which I am very interested in as a young designer. 'Paused Elements' This was a commercial project. As part of my course, we were given the opportunity to work for a company where they set the brief. My project was aimed for an interiors company called ROMO. The project enabled me to work collaboratively with others and produce a strong collection of designs. As a result of a successful project I was awarded a placement with ROMO in the summer. |
